Located in the heart of downtown Midland,
Emerson Park provides recreation for
people of all ages. The Park, which runs
alongside both the rail-trail and the
Tittabawassee river, contains a variety of
activities for public use.
Near the park is an outdoor rollerblading rink which is often used for roller hockey. The rink is usually well lit until 10 p.m. The park also has four
softball fields which were used in the 1998 National Softball Tournament.
Currie Stadium is often used for baseball and softball events.
Besides the rink, the park offers a playground
with slides, swings, and horseshoes. Emerson
park is an excellent place to take the kids for an
afternoon.

Herbert H. Dow Historical Museum
The aspirin you take for a headache, the thin plastic used to cover food, the dye that makes jeans blue all had Their beginnings in Midland, Michigan, thanks to the pioneering chemical experiments of Herbert H. Dow, founder of The Dow Chemical Company. Multi-media exhibits and innovative audio and video displays provide a fascinating look at the birth of Midland’s largest business and the evolution of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Bradley Home Museum & Carriage House
Experience authentic Victorian Gothic architecture with these two beautifully restored buildings. The 1874 Bradley Home is a hands-on historic house
museum where you can enjoy a glimpse of the everyday life of an early Midland family. The Carriage House features an amazing collection of horse-drawn carriages and sleighs, and is home to mid-Michigan’s largest functional
blacksmith's shop.
