Elementary Schools
Kindergarteners through fifth graders attend one of MPS’s twelve elementary schools, the beginning level of education in the district.
Middle Schools
There are four middle schools in Midland Public Schools, one of them being an alternative education school. Middle schools are for students in the sixth through eight grades.
High Schools
High School is the final step for students with Midland Public Schools. The district has three high schools (one for alternative education).
Schools of Choice
The School of Choice Program developed by Midland Public Schools allows parents living within the district to select their child’s school, despite the geographical boundaries suggested for school placement.
Kindergarten Complement is a new program that offers child care to kindergarteners before and after school.

Admission Policy
- A child must be enrolled in a MPS kindergarten program.
- Submit your registration form to the school in which your child is enrolled
- Acknowledge of your request will be made within four weeks of receipt of this form.
- Program space and sited will be determined by student enrollment.
Activities
- Enhance the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of young children.
- Emphasize literacy and language development.
- Engage children in arts and crafts, games, productive and creative play, outdoor activities, and rest.
